AHPRA Registered Dental Practitioner
I’m an Oral Health Therapist and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist supporting children’s oral health, oral function and dental development.
I look at children’s dental health through a root-cause, whole-child perspective that’s shaped around your family’s needs and preferences.
Unlike in a traditional dental practice, I have the time to listen and explain.
My work is grounded in airway health, oral function and early intervention, with additional training through organisations including The Australian Association of Orofacial Myology, The MINDD Foundation & Myo Munchee.
Most children's dental appointments only look at one part of the picture: a quick check, a single concern, or one system in isolation.
My online dental consultations are different.
I look at the whole child: their breathing, sleep, diet, oral habits, dental development, and how all of these areas work together to influence dental health and oral function.
You’ll receive clear, evidence-based guidance tailored to your child, with plenty of time to ask questions, feel heard, and leave with a clear path forward.
And the best part? You can access holistic children’s dental and oral function support without leaving your home.
As an AHPRA-registered health professional, I’m not permitted to share testimonials. Even when families say lovely things (which they do!). This is part of Australia’s health advertising guidelines.
Not necessarily. Many families choose to attend without their child, especially for toddlers and preschoolers. Older children and teens are welcome to join if you feel it would support their understanding of their dental health or oral function.
Consultations involve a detailed look at one child’s individual needs, development and oral health or oral function concerns. For this reason, appointments are for one child only.
No. Online oral health consultations are not diagnostic and don’t replace in-person dental care. If a concern requires a clinical examination, I’ll guide you on what to do and who to see next.
Currently, there are no Medicare or private health rebates available for 'Teledentistry' or Orofacial Myology services in Australia. The full service fee will apply.
The Face Place does not currently offer formal Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) programs. Many children still make meaningful progress with targeted education, simple home strategies, and the right referral pathway. OMT is also not suitable for children under the age of 5 years.
Yes. Many families book to understand whether mouth breathing, snoring or open-mouth posture is affecting their child’s oral health, sleep or dental development. I can help you identify contributing factors and guide you on appropriate next steps or referrals.
Absolutely. Thumb sucking, finger habits and dummy use are common concerns in toddler and preschool years. I can help you understand their impact on oral function and dental development, and provide practical, gentle strategies to move forward.
Yes. While I don’t provide orthodontic treatment, I can help you understand early signs, growth patterns, and what questions to ask when seeing an orthodontist. Families often find this clarity invaluable before committing to treatment.
Yes. Many families book to understand the underlying causes of tooth decay, including diet, mouth breathing, hygiene routines and mineral balance. I can help you develop a personalised prevention plan for your child.
Oral Health Consultations (Ages 0–17) are suitable for concerns such as:
tooth decay
oral hygiene routines
diet and feeding patterns that affect dental health
tooth development defects
enamel issues
tooth staining
These appointments focus on dental health, prevention and daily routines, and are suitable for babies, toddlers, children and teens.
Oral Function Consultations (Ages 1–17) are best for concerns related to:
tongue, lip and cheek ties
open-mouth posture
mouth breathing
chewing and swallowing
oral habits like thumb sucking or dummy use
early airway and facial development patterns
Oral function appointments begin at age 1 and above, as these assessments rely on age-appropriate developmental milestones.
